Hi, I’m Kamilla. If there’s one thing I know, it’s how to chase goals.
I’m what you might call a chronic go-getter. My life has been one long list of achievements, checked boxes, and milestones. I went to school, earned a long list of certifications, climbed the corporate ladder, hit all the “right” goals, and collected enough accolades to fill a room.
But one day, I found myself in the midst of this perfectly constructed life, looking around, wondering…Is this it? I know, to some people it may seem ungrateful to question all I’d achieved. After all, I had everything I’d ever set out to achieve, and the path for more seemed perfectly lined up.
So what was the problem? You know that feeling when you tell yourself, "When I get this… I’ll be happy." I did that a lot! And every time I actually “got that,” I realized that the feeling I was seeking never really arrived—or if it did, it was just a brief flicker, a temporary satisfaction that left as quickly as it came. Soon enough, that inner voice chimed in again, urging me to work even harder, achieve even more, and not to lose what I’d already gained. The more I followed that voice, the emptier I felt. My achievements became stepping stones, leading me further from what I truly valued, what made me feel alive. Sound familiar?
Here’s the truth: we get so caught up in what we’re supposed to do that we end up living out someone else’s version of a “good life.” We’re told to work harder, chase the next promotion, buy a nicer car, take that vacation. But at some point, if you’re lucky, you wake up and realize: This version of success is only part of my story.
I see this with my clients, too. One client shared how they’d been promoted, given more responsibilities and accolades, yet felt more disconnected than ever. “I’m great at my job, I’m respected, I get paid well…but why do I feel so lost?” High achievers who should feel fulfilled instead feel like they’re on a never-ending treadmill, reaching milestone after milestone yet getting no closer to feeling whole.
What’s missing? Meaning. Fulfillment. A reason to keep going that’s deeper than the next title or paycheck. And that’s why I created the DREAM™ framework—a way to redefine success that aligns with purpose and fulfillment.
Dreaming isn’t just something we do as kids before we “grow up.” Dreaming is essential for a life that feels aligned, purposeful, and true to who we are. Every time I hear people say they don’t know how to dream anymore, or that dreams don’t feel practical, it breaks my heart.
Dreaming isn’t the opposite of practicality or ambition. It’s the fuel for ambition—ambition that aligns with who we are. I still have big goals, but I no longer chase them at all costs. Now, I approach each goal with a willingness to question, to assess, and to make sure it aligns with the person I actually want to become—not just the life I’m supposed to live. Without that conscious alignment, ambition easily turns into an exhausting treadmill of "what's next," with no real satisfaction.
So what does DREAM™ stand for? Let’s take a deeper look into each step:
D is for DiscoverThis is where dreaming begins—rediscovering who you are beyond titles and achievements. Who are you when you peel back the layers of what you do and instead focus on why you do it? For so long, we’re taught that what we accomplish defines us. But discovering is about digging deeper, past the “shoulds” and “oughts” to find what genuinely makes you you. It’s not about reinventing yourself but about uncovering the parts of you that got buried under expectations. Discovering your true values, passions, and vision for life is an act of reclaiming yourself in a world that’s always trying to tell you who to be.
R is for ReflectDreaming isn’t about chasing every idea that comes to mind. That’s why reflection is so essential. Ask yourself, “Am I pursuing this goal because it matters to me, or because it’s what others expect?” Reflection invites you to pause and consider whether the life you’re building is one you actually want or just one that checks the right boxes. When you take the time to reflect, you start to see which goals are rooted in your own desires and which ones are hand-me-downs from society, family, or even past versions of yourself. Without reflection, we’re like runners on a track with no finish line, forever chasing something that’s not even meant for us.
E is for Elevate EnergyThe right dreams energize us; they don’t exhaust us. And I’m not talking about the kind of energy that caffeine can fix. Elevating your energy is about creating a flow in your life where you’re fueled by purpose, not just grinding through tasks for the sake of it. It’s about being intentional about where you put your energy, focusing on the activities and people that invigorate you rather than drain you. When your dreams align with your energy, life stops feeling like a grind and starts to feel more like a rhythm you actually want to dance to.
A is for ActAmbition is action. But instead of acting from a place of pressure or expectation, DREAM™ is about taking aligned action—steps that resonate with the values you’ve discovered, not just the milestones on your career path. It’s about letting go of the need for perfection and just moving forward, step by step, in a way that feels right. Because real fulfillment isn’t found in a mad dash to the finish line; it’s about building something meaningful that lasts.
M is for Maintain MomentumTrue success isn’t a sprint; it’s a practice. Maintaining momentum isn’t about constantly pushing yourself—it’s about setting up habits, routines, and rhythms that keep you anchored in your purpose. When you’re aligned with your purpose, you don’t need constant motivation to keep going. Momentum builds on its own, fueled by a life that’s aligned with what actually matters to you. This isn’t about going full throttle every day; it’s about creating a sustainable flow that you can maintain through the highs and lows.
Why Dreaming Matters Now More Than EverDreaming isn’t about escaping reality; it’s about reshaping it. In a world that tells you to “be realistic,” dreaming becomes a radical act of self-alignment. It’s about having the courage to choose a life that doesn’t just look good on paper but feels right in your heart. And when you dream in alignment with your values, your ambition has purpose and longevity.
So, if you’re feeling restless or unfulfilled despite your achievements, it’s time to stop and ask yourself: What would I pursue if I allowed myself to dream? Because in my experience, the dreams that come from within are the ones that redefine success in a way that truly matters.
DREAM™ isn’t just a framework; it’s a way to redefine what success looks like on your terms. It’s not about abandoning ambition or giving up on achievement; it’s about ensuring that each step you take brings you closer to a life that feels fulfilling, purposeful, and right. If you’re ready to stop running in circles and start building something real, take that first step—whether it’s reflecting on a current goal or exploring a passion you’ve ignored. Because the life you’re meant to live isn’t just another goal—it’s a life you build with purpose, passion, and a dream that’s finally aligned with who you are.
I’m here to support you on this journey. If you’re ready to dive deeper into the DREAM™ framework and explore what true alignment looks like for you, let’s connect. Together, we can build a life that reflects your unique purpose and vision.
